Jammu and Kashmir is a notable tourist destination, adventure destination and pilgrim destination. This fort faces the Tawi River and houses the temple of goddess Kali. The Mubarak Mandi Palace reflects the Mughal, Rajasthan and Gothic architecture. It houses the Sheesh Mahal and the Dogra Art Museum. Peer Baba is dedicate to Muslim saints and is visited by a large number of muslims every Thursday. The Chadar Trek through Zanskar located at the high altitudes of Jammu and Kashmir is one of the best trekking destinations worldwide. In winter, River Zanskar freezes up and is transformed into an amazing adventure trek called the Chadar or “The Frozen River Trek.”
